Location: Chelmsford, Essex
Actual Salary: £22,000 – £24,500 per year (Term-Time Only)
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, Term-Time Only

Parker Smith Inclusion is working in partnership with a specialist SEMH, ASC and ADHD school in Chelmsford that is looking for dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join their supportive and welcoming team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to build a long-term career in SEND, whether you're an experienced LSA or looking to take your first steps into specialist education.

About the School

Set across 11 acres of beautiful grounds, this is far from a typical school environment.

Alongside classroom-based learning, pupils have access to Forest School and a wide range of outdoor learning activities, helping them develop confidence, independence, communication and teamwork.

The school supports children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and ADHD. Every pupil has an EHCP, with support tailored around their individual needs.

With just 6 pupils in each class, students benefit from a high level of individual support. Each class is supported by a Teacher, HLTA and LSA, creating a calm, structured and nurturing environment where relationships really matter.

The Role

As an LSA, you'll work closely with pupils to support their learning, development and emotional wellbeing.

You'll be responsible for:

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
• Helping pupils engage with learning and manage their emotions and behaviour.
• Working alongside teachers, HLTAs and other LSAs to deliver engaging and accessible learning.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and developing pupils' social and emotional skills.
• Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
• Acting as a positive role model and consistent adult.
• Getting involved in outdoor learning and Forest School activities.
• Supporting pupils to develop confidence, independence and the skills they need for the future.
