About Canberra Metro Operations
Canberra Metro Operations (CMET) is part of the Canberra Metro Consortium, a group of companies that have been contracted by the ACT Government to operate and maintain the Light Rail network for a period of 20 years.
This is achieved through strategic partnerships to supply and maintain the light rail.
The Opportunity
The CMET projects team consists of a multidisciplinary team of 10, working across engineering, assurance and safety, comms, etc.
Part of a public, private, partnership joint venture, this is an opportunity to contribute to landmark, critical infrastructure that will leave its footprint on, and service the Canberra community for many years to come.
Whilst an initial 4-month engagement, there are strong extension options for extension, subject to performance and workload.
The Role
Providing project support within a larger project, you will be able to ‘plug and play’ and systematically work through a list of things to ensure compliance and project deliverables are captured and up to date.
You will be:
- Developing and managing project deliverable registers including document submissions and document reviews
- Managing document submissions and document transmittals using Aconex
- Supporting the project in producing monthly reports, including compilation of relevant data and information
- Supporting the team by managing the document control system, including document numbering, revision control and general administration
- Coordinating the project scheduling and planning function in support of the project
- Supporting contract administration requirements
The Ideal Person
The successful candidate will bring at least three years’ experience in administration, document control or project coordination within the engineering or construction industries.
In addition, you will have:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with document control software such as Aconex, TeamBinder or equivalent
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience coordinating workflows and stakeholders, including tracking document reviews, feedback and overdue approvals
- Experience with electronic document management systems
It’s also desirable if you have:
- Experience using Microsoft Word and SharePoint to create, manage and share documents with multiple stakeholders
- Experience with Aconex or similar electronic document management systems
Salary / Rate
- $65/hr – $70/hr + Super
- Initial 4-month labour hire contract, with potential extension options
- Central Canberra-based role
