Project Engineer — Job Description

Job Summary:

The Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and monitoring engineering projects from initiation through completion. The role involves coordinating with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and according to required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and manage engineering projects, including schedules, resources, and budgets.
• Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, calculations, and project documents.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and site teams.
• Monitor project progress and ensure work is completed according to approved plans.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve technical and construction-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
• Prepare progress reports, project documentation, and technical reports.
• Track project costs, materials, manpower, and equipment requirements.
• Identify project risks and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, handover, and project closeout activities.
• Participate in meetings and provide technical updates to management and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline.
• Relevant project/site engineering experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of engineering standards, project management, and safety procedures.
• Proficiency in MS Office and relevant engineering/design software.
• Good communication, coordination, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
