Project Manager (secondment)

Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for leading the successful delivery of HSI Donesafe implementation projects, acting as the primary point of coordination between customers and internal delivery teams.

• This role requires a highly organised, commercially aware and proactive individual who can effectively manage competing priorities, drive accountability and maintain momentum across multiple project streams.
• Success in this role relies on strong ownership, sound judgement and the ability to build credibility with both customers and internal stakeholders. Project Managers are expected to proactively identify risks, issues and dependencies, drive discussions to resolution and ensure projects remain aligned to customer objectives and business outcomes.
• The role operates in a dynamic environment where not every situation has a clearly defined process or answer. The successful candidate must be comfortable navigating ambiguity, exercising pragmatism and making informed decisions within established governance frameworks and organisational guardrails. This requires balancing customer needs, delivery realities and commercial considerations to achieve the most appropriate outcome.

Please note - this 6 month secondment is not a structured training role. While support and mentoring from experienced Project Managers will be available, the successful candidate will be expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy, initiative and accountability from the outset. Candidates should be comfortable leading customer conversations, managing stakeholder expectations, driving actions to completion and making decisions that move projects forward.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the successful delivery of customer implementation projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring agreed outcomes, timelines and customer objectives are achieved. Drive project momentum, maintain accountability across stakeholders and proactively remove obstacles to delivery.
• Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, establishing trusted relationships and maintaining clear, timely and professional communication. Manage expectations, facilitate discussions and navigate competing priorities to achieve positive outcomes.
• Proactively identify, assess and manage project risks, issues and dependencies. Drive resolution activities, escalate where appropriate and ensure project impacts are understood and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
• Lead project governance activities including status reporting, project reviews, milestone tracking and stakeholder updates. Ensure project records, actions and decisions are maintained accurately and transparently.
• Support the effective management of project scope, ensuring customer requests, assumptions and project boundaries are understood and appropriately managed. Identify potential scope impacts and work collaboratively to achieve commercially and operationally sound outcomes.
• Partner with internal teams and other internal stakeholders to coordinate delivery activities and ensure successful customer outcomes.
• Exercise sound judgement when navigating ambiguity, competing priorities or complex delivery challenges. Make pragmatic decisions within established governance frameworks, balancing customer, commercial and delivery considerations to achieve the most appropriate outcome.
• Maintain project forecasts and project artefacts, ensuring information remains accurate, current and aligned to delivery priorities.
• Take ownership of project outcomes and demonstrate initiative in identifying priorities, resolving challenges and driving actions through to completion. Operate with a high degree of autonomy while recognising when to seek support, guidance or escalation.
