- Own and design products over the entire product design life cycle including requirements gathering, concept generation, detailed design with analysis, cross-functional reviews, verification testing, manufacturing release, and sustaining.
- Ensure designs are fundamentally sound, scalable, robust, and meet engineering requirements backed by thorough engineering analysis and product validation through developing test plans, performing testing ensuring designs. Troubleshoot, root cause, and resolve technical challenges that arise throughout the product development life-cycle.
- Influence and shape future products by providing mechanical and product design engineering expertise into the technology roadmap with data-driven decisions.
- Identify and scope projects around innovation opportunities as well as technology risks.
- Provide engineering knowledge and mentor team members in areas of expertise.

Our Platforms Infrastructure Engineering team designs and builds the hardware and software technologies that power all of Google's services. As a Senior Mechanical Product Design Engineer, you design and evaluate the data center systems, identify product requirements, and contribute to research and project planning. From the chip to chiller, you are responsible for designing and optimizing products within the architecture that will change and scale with Google's continued growth.
With your technical expertise, you lead and manage engineering design decisions, perform detailed design and analysis, develop product and process improvements, and collaborate with cross-functional team members to build innovative solutions.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.US: $159000 - $230000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
