Department Overview

The Global Procurement Organization provides the resources, processes, governance, systems and controls for acquiring goods and services efficiently, effectively and ethically from a diverse supply base that provides Motorola Solutions a competitive advantage on cost, quality, technology, service and delivery.

The Global Product Procurement Organization is responsible for the acquisition of all Hardware, Software and Supply Chain Services required for Motorola to design, build and distribute Video, Radio and Accessory products. The Global Procurement team is evolving from more traditional sourcing and procurement goals by looking beyond simple cost savings and creating value for the corporation by improving product profitability, increasing supplier collaboration and leveraging supplier roadmaps to bring new solutions to our business partners. We are a client focused team designed to bring value and help lead innovations, revenue and savings within the business.

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Procurement Specialist, with at least 3 years related experience in supplier management. The responsibilities of the Senior Procurement Specialist include but not limited to the:
 

• Assist in category strategy execution.
• Develop strong relationships with suppliers with deep understanding of their organizations and capabilities to support short term and long term business needs.
• Drive the RFQ process, cost negotiations, project awards, and contract negotiations.
• Host Quarterly Business Review (QBR)
• Collaborate across diverse functional teams to achieve business objectives and regulatory compliance activities.
• Analyze category-wide procurement data to conduct spend analysis, identify cost improvements, and achieve annual cost reduction targets.
• Lead capex budgeting and monitoring to optimize capital expenditure across key categories.

Basic Requirements

In order to be successful, the candidate has to have:

• At least a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration or any related field
• Minimum 3 years prior related experience in procurement, supply chain, data analytic, category management, or supplier management.
• Effective problem-solving skills, strong negotiation skills and excellent communication skills with proven ability to work with people from various levels and functions.
• Advanced procurement data analytic skills, including forecasting methods and category price modelling.
• High proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets and AI productivity tools, alongside working knowledge of ERP/BI platforms (Oracle, SAP, Coupa, or Tableau).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Prior project management experience will be an added advantage
• Energetic, Positive, and a Team Player personality.
• Willing to work in Bayan Lepas, Penang
