Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon

About the Role

This permanent position offers flexibility to work full-time or part-time, based at a single branch or rotating across all three Eastgate sites. You'll enjoy a 36-hour week compressed into 4 days, with typical shifts running 8:30am to 6:30pm. Saturday mornings are managed on a 1-in-6 rota, with time off in lieu protecting your downtime.

Your caseload will balance consulting and surgical work, typically split across 2 days of consulting and 2 days of surgery, though the practice is happy to tailor this to your interests and strengths. You'll be working within a team that actively encourages feedback, professional development, and collaborative problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver a varied mix of small animal consulting and surgical procedures
• Manage a balanced caseload across the three-practice group in Suffolk and Norfolk
• Contribute to the practice's commitment to RCVS-accredited excellence and continuous improvement
• Maintain high-quality patient care in well-equipped, modern facilities
• Engage with professional development and pursue accredited learning certificates

Requirements

• VetGDP completed (the practice is unable to support new graduates)
• A confident, capable vet comfortable with both consulting and surgical work
• Professional interest in working within a supportive team environment
• Strong commitment to high-quality patient care
• RCVS registration
