About this role

About the Opportunity

Clearwater is experiencing exceptional growth across the DACH region, with a rapidly expanding client base. As we deepen our footprint in one of Europe’s most sophisticated investment markets, we continue to build out a dedicated local team - and this role sits right at the heart of that expansion.

This is an exciting opportunity to sit at the intersection of finance and technology. You'll work directly with clients (asset managers, insurers, pension funds and more) to configure and deploy Clearwater's leading SaaS platform, ensuring it's tailored precisely to their trading, accounting, compliance, performance and reporting needs.

We've recently opened a brand-new office in Frankfurt's Opernturm, home to a brilliant and rapidly growing local team, a clear signal of our long-term commitment to the DACH market, where a growing number of organisations are choosing our cloud-native, front-to-back platform for investment management.

Job Description:

The Global Delivery division is responsible for onboarding all new clients onto Clearwater’s SaaS platform. As SME, you will work on a variety of client implementations to provide domain expertise to clients and colleagues, playing a key role in client-focused projects in the DACH region.

The role involves translating regulatory, reporting, and other client requirements into configuration on Clearwater's platform, advising clients directly during implementation, and feeding input back to the development team to improve the product for future clients.

The work is varied by nature: each client's front-to-back office setup differs, so the technical and regulatory questions change from project to project. The role also involves training and documentation work, so expertise doesn't stay with one person but gets shared across the wider Global Delivery team - a collaborative division spanning Analysts, Team Leads and Program Managers.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and apply deep domain expertise to evaluate requirements and configure solutions to meet a wide range of investment accounting and reporting needs for Clearwater's largest clients.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Clearwater’s product.
  • Strategize with development teams to enhance our product offering, improve our client on-boarding experience, shorten delivery time frames, and develop repeatable, scalable processes.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with a global team to resolve problems and client inquiries accurately and efficiently.
  • Spread your knowledge by designing and implementing training materials and SOPs.
  • Managed assigned projects and coordinate necessary resources.

 Required Skills:

  • Knowledge and experience in regulatory reporting topics, e.g; Solvency 2 Pillar 1 & 2, BaFin DAV, Sustainable Value (Nachhaltiger Wert), German Tax requirements for investments, HGB
  • Securities or financial markets knowledge, especially derivatives, alternatives, structured products, and/or fixed income, is a strong plus.
  • Understanding of challenges in the industry (reporting, accounting, data...)
  • Proven history of proficient Excel use
  • Ability to concisely convey information through verbal and written communication.
  • Dynamic problem-solving skills, and an innate sense of curiosity with motivation to continually learn and solve problems for our clients.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in German and English

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
  • Relevant experience in any of the following: Insurance, Asset Management, Audit, FinTech, Investment Accounting, or Investment Operations
