What you'll do
- Develop marketing strategies for assigned biosimilar brands across Emerging Markets.

- Approximately 5–8 years of pharmaceutical marketing/product-management experience.

- Exposure to biologics, biosimilars, oncology, rheumatology, nephrology or other specialty therapies is desirable.

Function
Emerging Markets – Biosimilars Marketing
Role Purpose
The Marketing role will support development and execution of the biosimilar marketing strategy across Emerging Markets.
The position will work closely with regional VPs, country managers, commercial teams, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs and external partners to create standardized yet market-adaptable marketing strategies for the biosimilar portfolio.
The role will ensure that country teams receive appropriate product strategy, positioning, competitive intelligence, launch tools, training materials and marketing support required to drive biosimilar adoption.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio & Brand Strategy
- Develop marketing strategies for assigned biosimilar brands across Emerging Markets.
- Define product positioning, value proposition, target segments and key communication pillars.
- Translate global/central strategy into practical country-level marketing approaches.
- Develop annual brand plans and strategic marketing priorities.
- Support lifecycle-management strategies for established products.
Market Assessment & Competitive Intelligence
- Analyze market size, growth, competitor landscape, pricing and market-access dynamics.
- Develop competitor profiles for major originator biologics and biosimilars.
- Track new biosimilar launches, regulatory developments and competitive activities.
- Develop market-attractiveness assessments for potential new products.
Product Launch Planning
- Lead development of cross-functional launch plans for new biosimilar products.
- Develop launch-readiness checklists covering:
- Regulatory status.
- Pricing.
- Supply.
- Medical preparation.
- KOL engagement.
- Marketing material.
- Field-force training.
- Institutional targeting.
- Coordinate launch activities across Commercial, Medical, Regulatory and Supply Chain teams.
- Monitor post-launch performance and recommend corrective interventions.
Marketing Material Co-Development
- Develop scientifically accurate promotional and educational materials in collaboration with Medical Affairs.
- Prepare:
- Product visual aids.
- Product presentations.
- Leave-behind materials.
- Digital content.
- Product FAQs.
- Competitive response guides.
- Launch toolkits.
- Ensure all promotional materials comply with internal and applicable market requirements.
Country Marketing Support
- Work closely with country managers and local marketing teams.
- Support adaptation of central marketing strategy for different markets.
- Conduct regular portfolio/brand discussions with country teams.
- Identify markets requiring additional marketing intervention.
- Support campaigns addressing specific commercial or competitive challenges.
Sales Team Capability Building
- Develop product and marketing training modules.
- Conduct product-strategy and competitive-positioning training with Medical Affairs.
- Support development of field communication and objection-handling tools.
- Coordinate with SFE to assess effectiveness of field implementation.
KOL & Scientific Engagement Support
- Coordinate with Medical Affairs regarding KOL mapping and scientific programs.
- Support development of advisory boards, speaker programs and scientific educational activities within compliance requirements.
- Assist markets in planning major congress and scientific engagement activities.
Performance Analytics
- Monitor brand performance versus targets and market potential.
- Analyze trends by market, region, product and customer segment.
- Identify gaps and recommend corrective commercial actions.
- Prepare periodic portfolio performance reports for Emerging Markets leadership.
Eligibility Criteria
Education
- B.Pharm / M.Pharm / PharmD / Biotechnology / Life Sciences qualification.
- MBA/PGDM in Marketing is strongly preferred.
Experience
- Approximately 5–8 years of pharmaceutical marketing/product-management experience.
- Experience managing specialty products strongly preferred.
