Your opportunity

Every well-managed property has a story behind it, one of careful stewardship, strong partnerships and a commitment to creating safe, well-maintained environments where people can thrive.

As our Strata, Property and Facilities Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the operational performance of the Mission Australia Housing portfolio, helping ensure strata, commercial leasing, insurance and facilities matters are managed effectively and compliantly.

Working closely with asset and operational teams across the country, you will simplify complex property matters, resolve issues proactively and contribute to the ongoing improvement of systems and processes that support safe and secure housing outcomes for communities.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Coordinate strata and body corporate matters across a national property portfolio, building effective relationships with strata managers and owners corporations.
  • Review strata budgets, levy notices, sinking funds and capital works plans to support sound financial oversight.
  • Manage defect claims, shared maintenance issues and common property matters through to resolution.
  • Maintain accurate strata, lease, insurance and facilities records, registers and documentation.
  • Coordinate the administration of commercial leases and sublease agreements, including renewals, variations and terminations.
  • Monitor lease compliance obligations, critical dates and contractual requirements, escalating risks where required.
  • Support end-to-end property insurance claims, working closely with insurers, brokers and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide facilities coordination support across multiple sites, ensuring service standards, compliance and asset presentation are maintained.
  • Assist with audits, governance activities and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen portfolio management practices.
  • Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support integrated service delivery and positive operational outcomes.

Requirements for success

  • Certificate IV in Property Services is required, with additional property, strata or real estate qualifications highly regarded.
  • Previous experience in strata, property or facilities management within residential, commercial or community housing environments.
  • Demonstrated experience administering leases or sublease arrangements and managing compliance obligations.
  • Experience coordinating property-related insurance claims and managing insurer or broker relationships.
  • Strong capability supporting multi-site property portfolios and operational teams.
  • Excellent documentation management skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret lease agreements, strata documentation and insurance requirements and translate them into practical actions.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship-building skills.

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
