What you'll do

  • Co-lead the network function and collaborate with the VP responsible for Network Operations to establish technology strategy, organizational priorities, and capability development plans for the network organization.
  • Lead the Network Engineering team and provide technical leadership for the design, implementation, upgrade, migration, and optimization of HKEX's mission-critical network infrastructure.
  • Define and maintain network architecture standards, engineering governance frameworks, technology roadmaps, and technical design principles to support future business and market requirements.
  • Drive the delivery of strategic network initiatives, infrastructure transformation programmes, and technology refresh projects, ensuring successful execution within agreed scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
  • Partner closely with application development teams, solution architects, and business stakeholders to understand application communication patterns, traffic flows, protocol behaviour, and latency-sensitive requirements, and ensure network solutions are optimized accordingly.
  • Lead end-to-end performance engineering initiatives by analysing application, server, transport, and network interactions to identify latency bottlenecks and implement enhancements that improve system performance.
  • Provide Level 3 technical leadership and act as the highest level of escalation for major incidents, complex problem investigations, root cause analysis activities, and critical production issues.
  • Evaluate emerging network technologies and industry best practices, and develop strategies to improve network capability, resilience, security, scalability, and operational effectiveness across HKEX.

Job Summary:

An experienced network infrastructure leader responsible for co-leading HKEX's network function and overseeing network engineering, architecture, technology strategy, project delivery, and engineering governance for HKEX's mission-critical network infrastructure.

Working in partnership with the Vice President responsible for Network Operations, the role will jointly contribute to the leadership, strategy, capability development, and overall performance of the network organization. While the Network Operations function focuses on service reliability, operational governance, automation, and day-to-day support, this role will provide leadership in network architecture, infrastructure transformation, project execution, performance engineering, and advanced technical support.
