About the role

We are looking for an experienced allied health clinician to lead our Ageing Well Service, supporting a multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality, person-centred care to older people in our community.

This is a hands on leadership role with the opportunity to shape day-to-day service delivery while remaining connected to clinical practice. You will provide direction and support to the team, strengthen multidisciplinary care and service integration, and help ensure our services continue to respond to the goals and needs of the people we work with.

Alongside your leadership responsibilities, you will maintain a clinical caseload within your discipline, with the balance of clinical and leadership responsibilities determined in partnership with the Program Manager.

You will:

• Lead and support a multidisciplinary team of allied health clinicians.

• Provide supervision, guidance and development opportunities for team members.

• Support service planning, quality improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Monitor service performance, targets and reporting requirements.

• Build strong relationships with internal teams, community partners and other agencies.

• Promote holistic, multidisciplinary and person-centred approaches to care.

• Contribute clinical expertise as a Senior Allied Health Clinician.

The role has responsibility for workforce planning, staff supervision and development, recruitment and orientation, as well as supporting a positive team culture. It also plays an important role in service planning, consumer engagement, partnerships and the ongoing sustainability of the service.

About you

You are an experienced allied health clinician who enjoys bringing people together, supporting others to do their best work and improving the way services are delivered.

You will bring:

• A Bachelor degree in an Allied Health discipline, preferably Occupational Therapy.

• Current registration and/or practising membership with the relevant professional body.

• Strong clinical knowledge and the ability to support contemporary, evidence-based models of care.

• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience supporting multidisciplinary teams.

• An understanding of service planning, operations, quality and accreditation within a healthcare setting.

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

• A genuine commitment to person-centred care and improving outcomes for older people and diverse communities.

Experience within community health and aged care will be highly regarded.

While an Occupational Therapist is preferred, we warmly encourage experienced clinicians from other allied health disciplines to apply.
