Role Overview:
We’re looking for a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our data operations team. This role involves developing robust solutions to extract and process structured and unstructured data from diverse digital sources including dynamic content, documents, and legacy formats.
You’ll work with technologies like Python, OCR tools, and PDF processing libraries.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop scalable Python-based systems to extract, transform, and normalize data from complex digital assets (web interfaces, PDFs, documents, etc.).
3+ years of experience in Python-based automation or data extraction roles.
Automate interaction with dynamic content rendered in browsers using tools like Selenium.
Parse and interpret content from PDF documents using PDF parsing libraries and OCR where necessary.
Design fault-tolerant extraction logic that ensures high accuracy and reliability across multiple data formats.
Build pipelines to clean, structure, and deliver data to downstream systems in JSON, CSV, or database-ready formats.
Implement logging, error handling, retry mechanisms, and system monitoring.
Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and product teams to understand use cases and optimize data workflows.
Evaluate and prototype new tools including AI/LLM-based solutions for advanced parsing or semantic data understanding.

Required Skills:
 Proficiency in:
o requests, BeautifulSoup or similar parsing libraries
o Selenium or other browser automation tools
o PDF parsing libraries (e.g., PyMuPDF, PDFMiner, pdfplumber)
o OCR tools (e.g., Tesseract, EasyOCR)

Strong understanding of HTML/XML structure, selectors, and dynamic content

Solid debugging, logging, and optimization practices.

Ability to handle authentication flows, session management, and anti-bot scenarios.

Familiarity with version control (Git) and basic CI/CD workflows.

Good to Have:
 Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) for text analysis, entity
extraction, or classification tasks.
 Exposure to cloud-based storage and processing (GCP).
 Basic knowledge schedulers (e.g., cronjob, Airflow).
 Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams with fast iteration cycles.
