Social Care Worker – Disabilities

TTM Healthcare are currently recruiting a social care worker on behalf of a leading intellectual disabilities service based in south Tipperary.

All positions are permanent contracts working 40 hours per week

Salary scale ranges from: € 38,321.00 to € 55,244.00 Depending on experience

Time and a half on Sunday and bank holiday / paid over time

Requirements:

• A minimum of a Level 7 on the QQI Framework - BA in Social Care Studies or equivalent relevant qualification in Health or Social Care
• Candidates must possess the competencies and skills appropriate to working with persons with an intellectual disability.
• Thorough knowledge of HIQA Regulations and Standards and the relevant regulative framework
• Good working knowledge and understanding of safeguarding requirements including Trust in Care, and Children’s First
• An understanding of the New Directions model of day support services, as developed by the HSE. A willingness to work in promoting this model within your role
• Challenging Behaviour Course – desirable
