What’s the opportunity?

Play a key role in shaping the safety culture of one of Australia's leading gold mining operations. As our Health & Safety Advisor, you'll partner with leaders and frontline teams to influence safe behaviours, strengthen risk management practices, and ensure every person goes home safe at the end of their shift.

Based at our Cowal Operations and reporting to the Senior Advisor – Health and Safety you'll:

• Influence a proactive safety culture through visible leadership and practical support across site.
• Partner with operational leaders to identify, manage and reduce critical health and safety risks.
• Lead incident investigations, audits and risk assessments that drive continuous improvement and compliance.
• Deliver safety initiatives, training and coaching that build capability and support safe, sustainable operational performance.

Does this sound like you?

• A Diploma in Work Health and Safety or higher qualification. 
• At least five year’s health and safety experience within mining or a comparable high risk industry.
• Strong capability in risk management, auditing and ICAM incident investigations.
• Experience developing and implementing practical health and safety systems, procedures and standards.
• The ability to influence and build strong relationships across all levels of an operation.
• Strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to creating safer workplaces.

Highly regarded:

• Return to Work certification.
• Lead Auditor qualification.
• Experience with INX and other safety management systems.
• High Risk Work Licences and relevant national competencies.
