Careerflow review (2026): pricing, is it legit, and alternatives

What Careerflow costs, what the free plan includes, how its LinkedIn optimizer and job tracker work, and when another tool fits better.

By the NextRaise content team · Updated 28 October 2026

TL;DR

  • Careerflow is legit. It is run by Careerflow Inc., a US company co-founded by Puneet Kohli and Nikita Gupta. Its Chrome extension has 200,000 users and a Featured badge on the Chrome Web Store.
  • Best for: job seekers who want to improve their LinkedIn profile and keep every application and contact on one board.
  • Main limit: it organizes your search well, but gives you few ways to reach the people hiring. Its recruiter search shows no work emails.
  • Price: a free Basic plan, then Premium and Premium Plus, billed weekly to yearly. Every paid plan renews automatically. Prices are in the pricing section below.
  • Look elsewhere if you want jobs matched to your resume in several countries, or want to send your resume straight to the hiring team.

Short answer. Yes, Careerflow (often searched as Careerflow AI) is a real product from Careerflow Inc., a US company. It is best known for its LinkedIn profile optimizer, which scores your profile out of 100, and for a job tracker that saves jobs from 45+ job platforms through a Chrome extension. It also builds resumes, writes cover letters and runs mock interviews.

What is Careerflow?

Careerflow is a set of job search tools for two jobs: making your profile look its best, and keeping your search organized. The main parts of careerflow.ai:

  • LinkedIn Optimizer. Scans 14 sections of your profile and gives a score from 0 to 100 with a checklist of fixes.
  • Job Tracker. A Kanban board for every job you save, filled from 45+ job platforms through the extension.
  • Resume Builder and ATS tools. An ATS score against a job description, missing keywords, and a tailored version from the Resume Optimizer.
  • Autofill. Fills in forms on sites such as Greenhouse and Lever. You check the fields and submit.
  • Networking Tracker and recruiter search. Save contacts, set reminders, and run a Boolean search that opens Google results of recruiter profiles on LinkedIn.
  • Writing tools. Cover letters, LinkedIn posts and follow-up emails, on Premium.
  • AI Mock Interview. Voice or video practice for a specific job, on Premium Plus.
  • Job board. A jobs page matched to your skills, with no countries stated.

Careerflow also sells a human resume review and LinkedIn makeover, and runs a separate data labeling service, Human Data.

How Careerflow works

  1. Sign up and install the extension. Most of the tools run from the Careerflow Chrome extension.
  2. Score your LinkedIn profile. Open your profile, click the Careerflow icon and follow the wizard. The score updates as you fix gaps.
  3. Build or upload your resume. Import it from LinkedIn or upload a file, then check its ATS score against a job.
  4. Save jobs as you browse. On LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor or a company careers page, add the job to your tracker in one click.
  5. Apply and follow up. Autofill the form, submit it yourself, then move the job across your board.

Before you apply anywhere, check your resume's ATS score, free with sign-up.

Is Careerflow Premium worth it?

It depends on which tools you use.

  • For LinkedIn and tracking alone, the free plan may be enough. The profile score, job tracker and recruiter search are all on Basic, though free tracking will be limited soon.
  • Premium pays off if you write a lot. Unlimited cover letters, tailored resumes and LinkedIn posts are the main reasons to upgrade.
  • Weekly is the most expensive way to pay. Four weeks cost more than one month on the monthly plan, and weekly charges cannot be refunded.
  • Premium Plus is for interview practice. Pick it only if you will use the mock interviews, since it costs much more than Premium.

Is Careerflow legit?

Yes. Careerflow is a real company with a working product, not a scam. Here is what you can check yourself:

  • The company. The site footer names Careerflow Inc. Its About page lists Puneet Kohli and Nikita Gupta as co-founders, and the Chrome Web Store lists Puneet Kohli, in California, as the developer.
  • Public listings. The Chrome extension has 200,000 users, a 4.3 rating from 288 ratings and a Featured badge. On Trustpilot, Careerflow scores 3.8 from 20 reviews. On G2, it scores 4.7 from 7 reviews. Both review counts are small.
  • Its own claims. Careerflow says it has served over 1 million job seekers (its pages also say 1.2 million and 2M+) and that users reach interviews 60% faster. It does not say how these were measured.
  • Your data. Careerflow says data is encrypted and not sold. Its privacy policy adds that sharing with ad and analytics partners "could be deemed a 'sale'" under some privacy laws.

What users say about Careerflow

  • Few reviews, mostly positive. On Trustpilot, 70% of the 20 reviews give five stars and 25% give one star. Careerflow has claimed its profile, invites reviews and has replied to 60% of negative ones.
  • What people like. Ease of use, the LinkedIn and resume tools, one place for every application, a quick way to find recruiters, and fast support.
  • Common complaints on G2. A limited free version, trouble linking a LinkedIn account, and resume sections that lower the score when removed.
  • Common complaints on Trustpilot. An unexpected renewal charge, trouble deleting an account, and two people who did project work and say payment was withheld or late. Careerflow replied that pay depends on quality standards.
  • Reddit, r/jobhunting. In Do not use Careerflow AI, the poster paid for a month because the free plan felt too limited, then reports bugs in the LinkedIn optimizer and lost work in the writing tool. Two commenters side with the poster. Others disagree: some say they used it to tailor many resumes and track their whole search, and one credits it with two job offers. A Careerflow team member replied that the free plan includes one tailored resume and offered support.
  • Reddit, r/ResumeExperts and r/careerflow. In Tried careerflow + teal for ~ 2 months, the poster finds Teal smoother but says Careerflow gives more for free, with the ATS checker, tracker and LinkedIn tools in one place, and would keep it even on a paid plan. Commenters add that strong resume content matters more than any tool. In r/careerflow, recent user posts say chasing the ATS match score can make a resume worse and that the tracker misses some rejection emails.

What Careerflow does well

  • The LinkedIn Optimizer. A clear score, a checklist and live updates as you edit. The basic version is free, and NextRaise has no listed equivalent.
  • A job tracker that works across sites. Notes, tasks and contacts for every saved job keep a busy search organized.
  • You stay in control. Autofill fills in the form, and you review and submit it yourself.
  • Short plans if you need them. Weekly and monthly billing let you pay for a short burst of work on your profile and resume.

Like checking the form before you submit? Autofill applications in one click, then press submit yourself.

Where Careerflow falls short

  • Little help reaching the hiring team. The recruiter search opens Google results of LinkedIn profiles. It shows no work emails and sends nothing, so outreach is up to you.
  • No large matched job feed. Careerflow helps you track and tailor for jobs you find yourself. Its job board does not say how many jobs it lists or which countries it covers.
  • The free plan is shrinking. The pricing page says free tracking, autofill and storage "will be limited soon".
  • Autofill works on a set list of sites. The help center names 12 platforms and says the list may change. Check yours is on it.

When you are ready to reach out, send your tailored resume straight to the hiring team.

Does Careerflow work outside the US?

Mostly, yes. The LinkedIn Optimizer, resume tools and job tracker are not tied to one country, and the extension saves jobs from LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor and company career pages wherever you are. Careerflow does not say which countries its own job board covers, so for local openings in the UK, Canada, Germany, Singapore or elsewhere you will need another source of jobs.
