Jobright review (2026): pricing, is it legit, and alternatives

What Jobright costs, what the free plan includes, whether it works outside the US, and when another tool fits better.

By the NextRaise content team · Updated 26 October 2026

TL;DR

  • Jobright is legit. It is a funded US company, Jobright Inc., with public listings on the Chrome Web Store, the App Store and Trustpilot.
  • Best for: job seekers who want US roles and are happy to let an agent apply for them.
  • Main limit: it lists US-based jobs only, so it does little for a job hunt in another country.
  • Price: the free plan gives you a few credits a day. Jobright Turbo removes the limits for $39.99 a month, $89.99 for 3 months or $17.99 a week. Jobright shows these prices only after you sign up.
  • Look elsewhere if you want to read every application before it goes out, or you are job hunting outside the US. Our picks are further down.

Short answer. Yes, Jobright is a real product from Jobright Inc., a Santa Clara, California company founded in 2023. It matches you to US jobs, tailors your resume to each one and can apply on your behalf. The free plan gives you a few credits a day. The paid plan, Jobright Turbo, costs $39.99 a month, and works out to about $30 a month if you pay for 3 months at once.

What is Jobright?

Jobright is a job search tool built around job matching. You upload your resume, and it suggests US openings that fit your background, each with a match score. Here are the main features of jobright.ai:

  • Job matches. A feed of US openings ranked against your resume. Jobright says it lists more than 8,000,000 jobs and adds more than 400,000 a day.
  • Resume tailoring. A version of your resume rewritten for a specific job.
  • Autofill. Its Chrome extension, Jobright Autofill, fills in application forms. The Chrome Web Store shows 300,000 users and a 4.9 rating from 393 ratings.
  • Insider connections. People at the hiring company you can contact for a referral.
  • Orion. A chat assistant for career questions.
  • Jobright Agent. Finds roles that fit you and applies to them for you.
  • H-1B jobs filter. Helps international students and workers find US employers that sponsor visas.

Turbo, the paid plan, adds unlimited use of these tools, a LinkedIn email finder for outreach, AI cover letters, a hidden jobs filter and weekly sessions with a live career coach.

How Jobright works

  1. Upload your resume and set preferences. Add the roles, locations and salary you want.
  2. Get a ranked job feed. Each US opening gets a match score against your resume.
  3. Tailor your resume. Generate a version for a specific job before you apply.
  4. Apply. Use the Chrome extension to fill in the application form, or let Jobright Agent apply for you.
  5. Reach out. Use insider connections and the LinkedIn email finder to contact people at the company.

On the free plan, steps 3 to 5 run on daily credits. Turbo removes the daily limit.

Is Jobright Turbo worth it?

It depends on how many applications you send and for how long.

  • Weekly is the most expensive way to pay. At $17.99 a week you pay about $72 a month, nearly twice the monthly price. It only makes sense if you need one short burst of applications.
  • Quarterly is the cheapest per month. About $30 a month, but you pay $89.99 up front. Pick it if you expect your search to take 2 months or more.
  • The free plan covers a light search. 4 autofills and 2 tailored resumes a day is enough if you apply to a few jobs a day and tailor only for the ones you care about most.

Before you upgrade, use the free plan for a few days. Check whether the matches fit your field and location, since some users say they don't. Then decide if unlimited credits are worth paying for.

Is Jobright legit?

Yes. Jobright is a registered, funded company with a real product, not a scam. Here is what you can check yourself:

  • The company. The App Store lists the seller as Jobright Inc. Jobright's own blog says it was founded in 2023 in Santa Clara, California, by Eric Cheng (CEO) and Ethan Zheng (CTO).
  • Funding. Jobright's blog reports $7.7 million raised: a $4.5 million seed round in 2023 led by Lanchi Ventures, and a $3.2 million round in 2025 led by Translink Capital, with HR Tech Investments, Indeed's venture arm. The Register also reported the 2025 round.
  • Public listings. The Chrome extension has 300,000 users and a 4.9 rating from 393 ratings. On Trustpilot, Jobright scores 4.8 from 3,654 reviews. Jobright has claimed that profile and invites customers to leave reviews, so many of the reviews come from customers it invited.
  • Your data. The App Store privacy label lists contact info, search history, identifiers and diagnostics as data linked to you. Read Jobright's privacy policy before you connect your accounts.

Being legit doesn't make every claim on its site independent. Figures such as "3x interviews" and "80% time saved" come from Jobright itself, and The Register noted that it had no independent data to check them against.

What users say about Jobright

  • Mostly positive on Trustpilot. 84% of reviews give five stars and 1% give one star.
  • Common complaints in low-star reviews. Users say it isn't worth the price, unsaved cover-letter edits get lost, and the AI sometimes adds details that aren't accurate.
  • Matches that miss. Some users say recommended roles fall outside their field or location.
  • Reddit. In the most-read thread, Is anyone using Jobright.ai? in r/csMajors, opinions are split. New grads like that the job board shows real entry-level roles and that autofill helps on long forms such as Workday. The most upvoted complaint is Jobright's job reposts filling up LinkedIn feeds, and some say listings are older than they look. On paying, several say the free plan is enough; one user found the paid plan worth it, and another cancelled over the AI agent.

What Jobright does well

  • A large US job feed. If you are applying in the US, you see a lot of openings in one place, each with a match score.
  • Hands-off applying. Jobright Agent can send applications for you, which saves hours if you apply in volume.
  • A useful free plan. You can tailor, autofill and find emails every day without paying, which is enough to judge the tool.
  • Visa-friendly search. The H-1B filter is a real help for international students looking for sponsors.
  • More than applying. Turbo includes weekly sessions with a live career coach, which most tools in this category don't offer.

See the recruiters and hiring team behind any job. →

Where Jobright falls short

  • US jobs only. Its App Store listing says it "currently lists U.S.-based roles only".
  • Applications can go out without you. Jobright Agent applies on your behalf, and the agent page doesn't describe a step where you review each application first. If you want to approve every application, check the settings before you switch it on.
  • No public price. You see what Turbo costs only after you sign up, and the weekly plan costs nearly twice as much per month as the monthly plan.
  • Some sites block it. The Register reports that when an employer blocks bots, the agent asks you to apply yourself.
  • Free plan limits. Heavy use needs a paid plan.
